Our Philosophy

There are moments in life when something no longer fits.

Not because it is wrong.

Not because it failed.

But because it was built in response to something that is no longer here.

Therapy is not a quick fix.

It is a process of stepping into the unknown—

of loosening the structures that once kept you safe,

and learning, slowly, what safety might feel like now.

This work can be disorienting.

At times, it can feel like walking through the woods without a clear path.

There may be grief.

There may be fear.

There may be parts of you that are tired and ready.

All of that belongs here.

My role is not to change you.

And it is not to lead you somewhere predetermined.

It is to walk alongside you at the threshold—

to offer steadiness, curiosity, and care

as you begin to notice what is yours to keep,

what is ready to fall away,

and what is still becoming.

Foggy Mountains

“And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.”
~ Anaïs Nin.

Credentialed as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), National Certified Counselor (NCC), and EMDR Trained Therapist (Level II, EMDRIA-approved), Brooke offers trauma-informed and evidence-based counseling services to adults, teens, and families in the state of Montana.

Brooke O. Beighle

(pron. big-lee), she/her

CLINICAL BACKGROUND

During graduate training in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Montana, Brooke provided trauma-informed counseling to survivors of sexual, relational, and identity-based harm through the Student Advocacy Resource Center (SARC), and co-facilitated a weekly survivor support group for UM students. She also served as a sexual-assault advocate for adults at First Step Resource Center at Providence St. Patrick Hospital and counseled undergraduate students and student-athletes from diverse cultural backgrounds through the Counselor Training Center at UM.
Post graduation, Brooke worked as a clinical therapist at Montana DBT Associates (MDBTA), providing comprehensive Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for teens and adults. This included co-facilitating teen, parent, and adult DBT skills groups, offering parent consultations, and collaborating with community medical providers to support integrative care.
After leaving MDBTA, she worked under the clinical supervision of Samuel Ore, LCSW, and Leah Ore, LCSW, at Waxwing Psychotherapy, LLP. It was here that Brooke completed her Level II EMDR training, discovered her passion for working with fellow neurodivergent clients, and built what is now Threshold Counseling Collective.
Brooke's orientation to counseling is grounded in anti-racist, culturally responsive, and identity-affirming care that respects diverse racial and ethnic identities, cultural practices, beliefs, traditions, and ways of knowing.
As a fifth generation Montanan, my perspective on mental health has been shaped by years of social and animal welfare justice advocacy, personal therapy, the guidance of mentors, and relationships with people from many walks of life. These experiences continue to remind me that acceptance and change is an ongoing, collaborative process.
Before becoming a counselor, I spent over two decades studying and performing music and eventually started teaching trauma-informed voice lessons. I have also spent years in the restaurant service industry, non-profit settings, event planning, and volunteering with a variety of organizations. I am also a therapeutic breathwork practitioner, supporting others in reconnecting with their bodies and cultivating nervous system regulation with conscious connected breathing.
Outside the office, I value learning how to repot my ever growing trove of plants, wearing long cardigans, and a having solid morning routine.

“Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves, like locked rooms and like books that are now written in a very foreign tongue. Do not now seek the answers, which cannot be given you because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now.”
- Rainer Maria Rilke
